BESPOKE TRADITIONAL HOME OFFICE FOR PERIOD PROPERTY

We were asked to design and build a study which would be located in an outbuilding in our clients? lovely period property. The idea was to create a room from which they could run their small business. The fitted oak desk had to be wide and very practical as it needed to include a bank of six, suspended, hanging file drawers. Shelves had to be fully adjustable to accommodate either full size box files or most importantly, Lever Arch files. The accompanying images were taken during the installation process.

Made to measure desk in solid oak

The built-in oak office features a made to measure desk. The solid oak desktop has a burgundy leather insert and six practical filing drawers to keep paperwork close to hand. The oak shelving is designed and built to be fully adjustable to accommodate all the changing storage requirements of the business.

Period style cabinetry and joinery

The cabinetry and joinery includes classic raised and fielded solid oak door panels and a panelled oak fireplace overmantel, hand carved from oak, and a radiator cabinet, all hand finished with a superb natural oil. Bespoke like this can be created in any antique style.
